B. Lewis Rice

B. Lewis Rice (Benjamin Lewis Rice – also Lewis Rice or B. L. Rice) (1837-1927) was the director of the Department of Archaeology of Mysore state in India and an epigraphist.[1] He is known for his work Epigraphia Carnatica which contains his study on about 9,000 inscriptions he found in the Old Mysore area.[2][3]
