Aziatix is an Asian-American music group composed of Eddie Shin, Flowsik, and Nicky Lee. The individuals in the group were brought together by veteran producer Jae Chong.[1] The group has a strong international fanbase and has been gaining popularity, with their debut album AZIATIX reaching #1 on Korea and Taiwan’s music charts.[2]

Musical Career

The group formed in 2010, with producer Jae Chong bringing Nicky Lee, Flowsik, and Eddie Shin together (all pursuing their individual careers at the time).[3] Aziatix released their first single "Go" in March 2011 and their self-titled EP "Aziatix" in May 2011.

Following the release of Aziatix's debut album Nocturnal in July 2011, the group performed in the U.S. for the first time at the Key Club in Los Angeles.[4] In November 2011, the group returned to the U.S. for their first official tour.[5] During this time, Aziatix also released music videos for their tracks "Go," "Slippin' Away," "A Game," "Be With You (Rock Mix)," and "Cold."

Tours

In 2011 Aziatix embarked on a 10 city, 12 stop US tour, performing in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.[6]

Flowsik

Flowsik is the rapper of Aziatix. He was born and raised in Queens, NY and has been rapping since he was 15, with his influences being rappers such as Tupac and Jay-Z.[7][8] He has worked with other artists such as rapper Ice-T (with whom he recorded "Hate") and K-Pop group JYJ.[9][7] He was also mentored and co-signed by Ice-T.[10][11]

Eddie Shin

Eddie Shin (singer, songwriter) was born in Boston, MA. He has been writing songs since he was 16 and studied music at NYU; his vocals have a strong R&B influence. He launched a solo career from 2005 - 2009, starting with his self-produced album Just My Way and eventually releasing 3 singles including "Over." He has also written and composed songs for Lyn, Ivy, Wheesung, and Soulstar.[1][12][13][14] For South Korea's G20 Summit, he co-wrote/produced and vocal directed the song "Let's Go," featuring artists such as Seohyun (SNSD), Jun-hyung (Beast), and Junsu (2PM). [15][16]

Nicky Lee

Nicky Lee (zh:李玖哲) was born and raised in [[Los Angeles, CA], is currently living in Taipei, Taiwan]. He is recognized as an accomplished R&B/Soul Korean male vocalist with five solo albums released. He earned the title of “Best Male Singer” at the Golden Melody Awards (Mandarin Pop Music Awards) in 2007 in Taiwan.[9][17] His music has been used in the movie The Forbidden Kingdom that starred international actors Jackie Chan and Jet Li.[18] Nicky is also developing his acting career, and appeared in the movie “Mulan.”
