Australian athletes have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following athletics events (up to a maximum of 3 athletes in each event at the 'A' Standard, and 1 at the 'B' Standard):[1][2]

Equestrian

Australia have qualified a team for the show jumping event based on their performance at the 2010 World Equestrian Games.[4] Australia has also qualified a team in dressage.

Field Hockey

Australia qualified a men's and a women's team. Each team will be made up of 16 athletes.

Gymnastics

Artistic

Australia has so far qualified a women's team.

Modern pentathlon

Based on their results at the 2011 Asian/Oceania Championships Edward Fernon and Chloe Esposito have qualified for modern pentathlon events in London.[5]

Rowing

Australia has qualified 10 boats with up to 35 athletes.

Sailing

Australia has so far qualified 1 boat for each of the following events

Shooting

Dina Aspandiyarova and Lalita Yauhleuskaya have both qualified places for Australia in the women's 10 m air pistol. Lauryn Mark has earnt the nation a qualification berth in the women's skeet.[6] Michael Diamond has earned the 4th quota place in shooting in the trap event.

Swimming

Australian swimmers have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[7][8]

Australia has qualified two athletes.

Water Polo

Australia has qualified a men's and a women's team. Each team will be made up of 13 athletes
