Austin O’Neill (born 17 July 1982 in Kildare) is an Irish football player who most recently played with Kildare County F.C. in the League of Ireland First Division.

Austin played his schoolboy football with Home Farm F.C. and Tolka Rovers before joining Bohemian F.C. in 2000. He spent two seasons at Dalymount Park before moving on to the now defunct Dublin City F.C. where he was second choice goalkeeper for the majority of his stay but playing regularly with the Dublin City under 21 side.

UCD signed the young keeper, where he spent two seasons. He failed however to break into the first team and moved to Leinster Senior League side Tolka Rovers in 2004 before joining Limerick during the 2006 season.[1]

Austin O’Neill signed for Kildare County just before the beginning of the 2007 season. His previous club was former Eircom League side Limerick F.C. where he kept goal for the second half of the season. He remained at Kildare until the end of the 2008 season when Kildare lost the relegation play-off. Many long term players left and the 2009 team was built from a squad of locals.
