Auoindaon was the native chief of the Wyandot (Huron) at Quieunonascaranas, a settlement in Wendake near modern-day Midland, Ontario.
In 1623, when he agreed to the building of a cabin for the Recollets at what was to be known as Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, Auoindaon became convinced that the Europeans were oki, influential spirits or forces. This was because the continuous rain storm that was occurring stopped itself until just after the cabin was finished.
