Auerbach (German pronunciation: [ˈaʊ.ɐbax]) is a town in the Vogtlandkreis. It is deemed to be the centre of the east Vogtland in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. The city has a textile manufacturer and some factories including the famous machine industry.
Auerbach was mentioned for the first time in 1282. The city was considered in the centre of the eastern Vogtland.
Landmarks include the city, the towers of the St. Laurentius church, and the 43.9 m (144 ft) castle tower.
