About Attili

Attili is a Major Panchayat Town in the West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. As the land around Attili is very fertile, the agriculture sector is the major employer. Major crops includes rice, sugarcane, coconut, bananas and vegetables. Summer crops include Tur Dal, Moong Dal etc. Probably this is the only place in India where the farmers can enjoy three crops (Two major and one minor) in a year. In the presence of Shri Mekala veeranna (ex-panchayat President) this town got Best village award in INDIA.

Occupation of the people

Major occupation of the people in Attili is farming, cultivation and business. A small proportion of the people are government employees, teachers,police, bankers etc. This is the famous place of business people. All over India in any business most probably Onions, tomatos,tamarind and chilles this town business people famous.

Though Attili is a small town, it has well established educational institutions which includes a Degree college (S.V.S.S.Govt Degree College, affiliated to Andhra University). It also has several Junior colleges and schools (Govt. & Private).

Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swamy temple which is known for its "Subrahmanya Shashti". Sivalayam is also there, which was founded by "Athiri" maharshi.
