Andreas Leo Ateng Suripto (8 August 1942 – 6 May 2003), better known as Ateng, was a popular Indonesian actor and comedian. He was famous for his shortness and at times, his Charlie Chaplin mustache. He was born Kho Tjeng Lie and is a Chinese Indonesian.
He married Theresia Maria Reni Indrawati, and had two sons named Alexander Agung Suripto and Antonius Aryo Gede Suripto.
He died in 2003 from throat illness in Jakarta.
In the 1980s he was a star in a popular television show Ria Jenaka, broadcast by TVRI, the Indonesian national television broadcasting company, playing the role of Bagong. He was also part of a four-man comedy troupe Kwartet Jaya with Bing Slamet, Iskak, and Eddy Sud.
Prior to his death, he produced a comedy series on SCTV called Gregetan.
