Ascoglossum, abbreviated as Ascgm in horticultural trade, is a monotypic genus of epiphytic orchids in family Orchidaceae.
Its only species Ascoglossum calopterum (Rchb.f.) Schltr., 1913 is endemic to the Moluccas, New Guinea, the Philippines, and the Solomon Islands. Its growth is similar to Renanthera.
The species Ascoglossum purpureum (J.J.Sm.) Schltr, 1913 is a synonym of the accepted name Ascoglossum calopterum
Ascoglossum (Ascgm.) forms several different intergeneric hybrids (nothogenera):
One of the RHS-registered primary hybrids is Ascoglossum Nina Rach (Ascoglossum purpureum x Renanthera monachica).
