Arun Kumar Pallathadka,born 9 March 1992,[1] is an author of Indian origin, and apparently, one of the youngest authors/novelist in the world.[2][3][4][5][6]

Arun Kumar is the author of 2 novellas, Life- A Whirlwind (2010) and Dark Clouds (2010).[7]

Background

Arun was born in Kasaragod to Mr. Shankaranarayana Bhat and Mrs. Shyamala S.N.Bhat, a typical Havyaka Brahmin family.[8][9] He has an elder brother named Dr. Harikumar Pallathadka who works as a diplomat and a younger sister, Laxmi Kiran, who is a student.[10]

Arun's education up to pre-university level was in Kasaragod. He attended Kannada medium schools, from 1st to 7th standard and 8th to 10th standard, AUP School Pallathadka and NHS Perdala respectively. He then studied Humanities at HHSIBSHSS Edneer. Currently, he is an undergraduate at the Maharaja's College, University of Mysore, in Mysore.[11]

He has written 4 books so far and all of them have been appreciated worldwide.[12][13][14] Arun's novellas are said to be poetic and melodious in nature.[15]

An historic fiction named - The Broken Spear 1800 BCE. Arun parts the mists of time to present his readers with a tale of tragedy, love, honour and a vow of revenge, set amidst the ancient Indus Valley. With the backdrop of an actual historic event, the clash between the indigenous Harappan Culture and the invading Aryans, the author weaves a story of a young boy in the town of Daro. The story is about how his quest for revenge leads him to find some honour, love and self discovery among the enemy.[21][22]
