Artemis Investment Management LLP is independent and owner-managed. Artemis opened for business in 1997. Its aim was outstanding investment performance and client service. All Artemis’ fund managers still share these two precepts — and the same flair and enthusiasm for fund management. Artemis employs around 125 people and has offices in London and Edinburgh.
Clients' investments are spread across a range of 14 unit trusts,[1] an investment trust, two hedge funds, a venture capital trust, an independent SICAV as well as segregated and pooled institutional portfolios.

Artemis is owned by Affiliated Managers Group (AMG) and the Artemis partners. This is a financial partnership: AMG do not get involved in the day-to-day running of the business.
Artemis is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) [2] and currently has 27 partners, comprising fund managers and other key individuals at the firm. The four founders, Mark Tyndall, John Dodd, Derek Stuart and Lindsay Whitelaw have always recognised that one of the key determinants in long-term success is the stability of the investment team. Artemis has an extremely low level of turnover among the fund managers and the partnership structure will ensure that this remains the case.
Although many financial services companies sell insurance or banking products, Artemis is dedicated to asset management. The firm’s clients include retail investors, financial advisers, and large institutional investors such as pension funds and financial institutions [3]. The firm has offices in Edinburgh and London and, as at 30 Novemeber 2011, it managed £10.9 billion of assets.[4]
