Arik Ascherman

Rabbi Arik W. Ascherman is the Director of Special Projects for Rabbis for Human Rights in Israel, an organization where he previously served as Executive Director.^[1] He is a well-known Israeli peace activists and in the 2010 award-winning documentary Israel vs Israel, Arik Aschermann is one of the main characters.^[2]^[3]

Awards

In 2009, Ascherman was co-recipient (with Alice Shalvi) of the Leibowitz Prize, named to commemorate Yeshayahu Leibowitz, presented by the Yesh Din human rights organization for public activism in the spirit of Leibowitz's political and philosophical teaching.^[4]
