The Ardsley-Secor Volunteer Ambulance Corps (ASVAC), established in 1962, provides emergency medical services to the village of Ardsley, New York and Ardsley school district (excluding Dobbs Ferry, NY). All members are volunteers who live or work in the community.[1] ASVAC runs two basic life support ambulance, identified by Westchester County as 50-B1 and 50-B2.[2] Advanced life support is provided by the Greenburgh Police Department via Fly-car.[3]
On December 16, 1965, the Ardsley-Secor Volunteer Ambulance Corps accepted delivery of its first headquarters. This 1,300-square-foot (120 m2) building was a donation of the First National City Bank (now Citibank), who had formerly been using the building as a temporary branch in Mount Vernon, New York.[4]
