Archdeaconry of Cleveland
The Archdeaconry of Cleveland is an archdeaconry, or subdivision, of the Church of England Diocese of York[1] in the Province of York. It stretches west from Thirsk, north to Middlesbrough, east to Whitby and south to Pickering. It has a varied geography, including the southern parts of the conurbation of Teesside and the open moors of the North York Moors National Park.
People
The archdeaconry is led by the Area Bishop of Whitby, currently the Rt Revd Martin Warner, who was consecrated on 26 January 2010,[2] and by the Archdeacon of Cleveland, currently the Ven Paul Ferguson, Archdeacon since 2001.[3]
