Aravankad (Tamil: அரவக்காடு) is a township in The Nilgiris district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Aravankad had a population of 5304. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Aravankad has an average literacy rate of 87%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 56% of the males and 44% of females literate. 7% of the population is under 6 years of age.
