Aranya is the annual technical festival of Thapar University, Patiala (India).[1]
Aranya is a three day long technical extravaganza that aims to bring the best talents from all over Northern India to one platform. Starting in 2006, the golden jubilee year of the university, Aranya has gained more and more popularity over time. The festival is generally held in the months of September–October each year. It draws the attention of many colleges as well as school students from all over India.

Aranya 2011 with events ranging from technical events, a book fair, an edufair, adventure sports, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, literary events and managements events, it provides an opportunity for students to showcase their potential and enhance their capabilities.
Each day will be dedicated to the themes Child Rights, The Legacy of the Indian Army, Anti Smoking and Environment Conversation. Aranya will strive to encourage critical thinking through specially designed theme initiatives that include conferences, guest lecture, youth drives and outreach programs.
