Arabo (Armenian: Արաբօ, 1863–1893) born Arakel was a famed Armenian military commander of the later 19th century, one of the first fedayees [1].
Arabo studied at Arakelots monastery school in Mush. Since late-1880s he led Armenian fedayee groups of Sasun and Taron. In 1892, he was arrested by Turkish authorities, sentenced for 15 years imprisonment, but escaped from prison and resumed fedayee activities.
Arabo was killed in 1893 during the battle against Kurdish gangs on the road from Khnus to Mush (Western Armenia).
