Angel Laylah

The Angel Laylah or Lailah is a female midwife angel found in Jewish tradition.

The angel is not mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. The story of Lailah mention by Louis Ginzberg in Legends of the Jews.[1] from the Midrash Tanhuma, and occurs in Nidah 16b.[2] These tales are recounted by Howard Schwartz in Gabriel's Palace: Jewish Mystical Tales (1994) and Before You Were Born (2005).[3][4]
