Andy Collins (born 4 July 1970) is a British television personality.

Career in brief

Andy Collins was an active member of the British Army.

During the 1990s, he presented Game Over, a show on BSkyB's short-lived computer & technology channel .tv. In 1993 he won a Golden Joystick and a date with emcee Monie Love by winning a SNES Cool Spot challenge on Channel 4's GamesMaster.[1]

From September to December 2002, he presented the British daytime version of Family Fortunes, a show based on the United States TV show Family Feud. In 2005, he appeared on the chat show Heads Up with Richard Herring to discuss his life, career and his love of poker.

The vast array of work is as a warm-up act for numerous British entertainment variety shows, including grandstand-seat competition winners on the red carpet at the 2006 BAFTA award ceremony.

Other successful warm-up work includes Games World,[2] Little Britain,[3] Grownups,[4] Any Dream Will Do, Dancing on Ice: The Tour, Touch Me, I'm Karen Taylor, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, series 2 of Are You Smarter Than a Ten Year Old? and the 2006 series of Family Fortunes.[5]

Andy provided great entertainment as the ref on the sell out tour of A Question of Sport in 2010.

Andy works weekdays on The Paul O'Grady Show, where he manages the audiences throughout.

Andy regularly appears in pantomime for which he has received great reviews recently at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury appearing alongside Cilla Black.

Currently, Andy is the 'warm-up' and live audience compere on Sky 1's Gladiators and ITV1's Dancing on Ice.

Andy can be seen providing the audience warm-up during the breaks on BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing.

An avid Watford F.C. supporter, Andy was Lloyd Doyley's kit sponsor when Lloyd scored his first professional goal during the 2009-2010 season.
