Andalas University (Indonesian: Universitas Andalas, abbreviated Unand) is the oldest university in Indonesia outside of Java. The university consists of eleven faculties, with most located at the main campus Limau Manis, 12 km from the center of Padang, West Sumatra. This campus occupies 5 km², at an elevation of about 100 m. The Faculty of Medicine is located in the city center, near the Central General Hospital M. Djamil.
