Amuda (Arabic: عامودا 'Āmūdā, Kurdish: Amûdê) is a town in Al Hasakah Governorate in northeastern Syria. Amuda has a mostly Kurdish population.[1] On November 13, 1960, the village was the site of a tragedy in which 152 children were killed in a fire at a movie theatre.[2]
