Amnon Straschnov

Amnon Straschnov (born July 24, 1947) is President of the Israeli Institute of Commercial arbitration and involved with the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.[1]

He was President of the Military Courts in the West Bank from 1982 to 1984. He served as Military Advocate General of the IDF from 1986 to 1991, during the First Intifada He wrote a book entitled Justice Under Fire (1994, Hebrew). He is a graduate of the Graduate Officer Course of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's School.

Between 1991-2002 Straschnov was a Judge in the regional court in Tel Aviv and resigned his position in 2002.

Judge Straschnov expressed severe criticism in July 2008 of the Israeli police's use of leaks in the financial scandal involving Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. [2]
