Amcom Software, Inc. is a communication software company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Amcom was founded in 1984 and now has offices located in New York, NY, Jacksonville, FL, Bedford, NH, Perth, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Amcom Software connects people to each other and to data. Amcom products are used in call center communications, emergency management, wireless messaging middleware, smartphone pager replacement, and paging infrastructure for leading organizations in hospitality, healthcare, education, business, and government. Amcom systems are used at more than 3,000 customer locations including top hospitals in the United States.[1][2]

History

Jack Collins founded Amcom Software in 1984 in Minneapolis. In March 2007, 2ndWave Software acquired the company[3] and in November 2007, Amcom Software announced a merger to with Xtend Communications[4]. In January 2008, Amcom acquired Telident E911 Solutions from Teltronics, Inc.[5] Amcom then acquired Commtech Wireless[6] in September 2008. In February 2009, Amcom acquired SDC Solutions.[7]
