Alvin Lubis (born Alvin Zaitun Loebis on June 8, 1978) is an Indonesian professional musician, arranger and music producer. He has been working around the local music industry since 1999. His début was to act as Music Director in a local Music School along with his friends. Alvin spent years doing jazz and pop gigs around Jakarta as sessionist, both live on stage and in recording studio. His first TV appearance was in the year 1999 with Los Morenitos Latin Band in a local weekly TV program, "Latin Night" (Metro TV), and also "KD Show" (Trans TV ; ) with Tohpati Big Band.

He then gained more experiences from one concert to another with several artist managements and orchestras. In year 2000, Alvin was appointed as Faculty Dean at Institut Musik Indonesia (as previously known as Indonesia Music Institute or IMI). From here after, his popularity rose uninterruptedly. In year 2005, he joined Erwin Gutawa Production and formed his own orchestra line up, named Aluna Orchestra (named after the first daughter of Erwin Gutawa). First gig of Aluna was on RCTI, but easily gained more corporate trust from Trans TV which has been his loyal client so far.
Alvin had also teamed up with his old school mate, Andezzz, to launch a chillout album named Andezzz and The Departure People sometimes in 2006. The album has been played thousands of times on radio and local clubs. In year 2007, Alvin co-produced a very well crafted Jazz Album "Bali Lounge2" under Omega Pacific Production, teamed up with Lewis Pragasam (Malaysian drummer) and Chris Wright (Australian guitarist). The album was a success compared to other jazz artist in the local industry. Alvin then produced the singer's solo Album (Iwan Abdie), still under Omega Pacific Production. In year 2008, Alvin collaborated with Erwin Gutawa for Rossa's Solo Concert, where he was appointed as second arranger, and band leader, all the way to the following tours in the next year. In 2010 and 2011, alvin had produced many more recording artists ( Voiceless and Soulastic, Avanindra Band, AchiKochi, etc ).
Around 2008 and 2009, Alvin managed to join his old friend Andezzz to work on music scoring for several local movie, as well as their soundtracks (Basahhh, Janda Kembang, and others), not to mention a number of jingle productions. And at the moment, Alvin is still producing more artists, conducting as Head of School at IMI, and writing scores for Aluna Orchestra and Erwin Gutawa Orchestra. In 2010 and 2011, Alvin had also worked for numerous concerts, both as arranger and as musician.
