Altibase helps its customers maximize their data investments by providing real-time data performance solutions. In today’s competitive business environment, Altibase enables companies to drastically improve the speed of data access and analysis across the enterprise.

Altibase is a leading provider of data performance solutions that provide rea-time access, analysis, and distribution of high volumes of data in mission critical environments. As the importance of real-time data information grows, Altibase data performance solutions deliver real-time access to your data whether your data is at-rest in a database or it is still in-motion across the wire.

Altibase delivers its data performance solutions through two key products:

Contents

Altibase HDB

ALTIBASE® HDB™ is a hybrid relational database management system (DBMS) that delivers extreme speed while support large datasets by combining in-memory and on-disk data storage in a single relational database. In-memory Database + On-disk Database = ALTIBASE® HDB™

ALTIBASE® HDB™ Differentiators

ALTIBASE® HDB™ is an ACID-compliant RDBMS that can be deployed as an in-memory, on-disk, or hybrid database.

- Performance: against leading disk-only RDBMS; ~15x performance for INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE and ~5x for SELECT operations.

- Hybrid: saves costs by making it unnecessary to purchase on-disk database separately. ALTIBASE HDB has no size constraints with on-disk database in it. With HDB, tables can be located on-disk or in-memory.

- Feature-rich: Full SQL92 implementation, complete data-type support, functions, triggers, PL/SQL, MVCC, industry-standard interfaces, rich APIs, built-in tools.

- High Availability: Extreme reliability for mission-critical systems; built-in replication with both synchronous and asynchronous modes; supports active-active or active-passive configurations.

ALTIBASE® HDB™ Key Benefits

Altibase DSM

ALTIBASE® DSM™ is a data event middleware that filters, analyzes and distributes high-volume data streams in real-time. Users can register queries with ALTIBASE® DSM™ to run continuously, so that when conditions are met, subscribers receive real-time notifications.

ALTIBASE® DSM™ Differentiators

Key components of ALTIBASE® DSM™ middleware platform include:

Continuous Query Processing - Registered SQL queries that execute continuously against data streams. - Support for JOIN operations against streaming or persistent data sets.

Data Distribution Service - Military-grade performance and reliability based on OMG standards. - Publish/Subscribe model for sending and receiving data in real-time. - Data distribution across heterogeneous nodes.

Distributes Table-Cache - Distributed in-memory cache with database table features. - Data coherence across multiple distributed nodes. - Support for complex data structures beyond key-value pairs.

ALTIBASE® DSM™ Key Benefits

History

In 1999, Altibase developed a Main Memory DBMS (MMDBMS) offering. Telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, and utility companies have been leveraging this technology for their real-time data processing needs since the development of these solutions.

In 2005, Altibase released a hybrid DBMS which integrates Main Memory database management with Disk Resident DBMS (DRDBMS) to handle large data volumes within a single DBMS while providing real-time data processing. The ALTIBASE® HDB™ is the only hybrid DBMS in the industry that can provide both MMDBMS and DRDBMS in a single database instance.

In 2008, Altibase released the ALTIBASE® DSM™ (Data Stream Middleware) solution for the real-time processing and transmission of streaming data. The DSM solution was developed in response to the rapid expansion of "event-data" that emerged with the proliferation of network-connected devices, such as mobile & smart phones, sensors, and laptops.

In 2010, Altibase started expanding internationally with the establishment of Altibase, Inc. in Palo Alto, California. Altibase co-hosted its annual "Altibase DBMS Day" in China with General Data, and began servicing Japanese securities companies in the financial industry. ALTIBASE® HDB™ received OGC certification.

In 2011, Altibase released the ALTIBASE® HDB™ version 5.5.1 and ALTIBASE® DSM™ version 2.1.1. Altibase Inc. participated in the HP Discover 2011 event in Las Vegas, Nevada and presented at the Grand Database Conference in Seoul, Korea as a keynote speaker. In Japan, Altibase solutions were adopted in the medical manufacturing industry. Company
