Allkpop (stylized as allkpop) is a breaking K-Pop celebrity gossip and news site launched on October 30, 2007 and based out of Edgewater, NJ. Owned and operated by parent company 6Theory Media, allkpop is the most trafficked K-pop news site with over 3 million readers per month[2] and now generates more Web traffic than any Korean music portals in South Korea.[3]
Best known for breaking news and exclusive features with top celebrities, allkpop has spread Korean Entertainment to English speaking audiences worldwide, also known as the Hallyu Wave.[3] Exclusive interviews with celebrities include Brian Joo,[4] SECRET,[5] Block B,[6] 2PM, Wonder Girls, 2NE1,[7] Miss A,Dal Shabet, Girl's Day,[8] and more.[9]
