Allauddin Ahmad better known as Allahuddin was a legendary and iconic Pakistani actor who has worked in Pakistani and Bollywood movies. He was also a good singer. He was born to a Kashmir family in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He is considered as greatest Pakistani film actor.[1] He was the brother of Riaz Ahmad Raju, a film director. He had performed in hundreds of films.He has performed in Bollywood films in 1940s before the creation of Pakistan. He is known as "All Rounder Actor", he had performed many types of roles. His films are considered to be most successful in Pakistan. His film Pheray of Punjabi is considered as first superhit in Pakistan, Dulla Bhatti is considered as first blockbuster film in Pakistan. His antagonist role of Kartar Singh make it one of the most popular Punjabi films in Pakistan. Afterwards, he appeared as hero in many films of 1960s till 1974. He was famously known for the films Dracula in Pakistan(1967}, Sumera, Mela became his identity. Neend, Koel, Hameeda, Shaheed, Susral, Mehtab, Tees Mar Khan, Phaney Khan, Dil Da Jani, Badnam, Zarqa and Yeh Amn are among his most celebrated movies. His last film as a young hero was in 1974 in a Punjabi film named Nasha Jiwani Da. Afterwards, he appeared in a number of supporting roles as others actors like Waheed Murad, Muhammad Ali, Nadeem has debuted in the cinema. His career is of 40 decades. He had worked in total 319 movies, out of which 194 are Urdu films. The nation celebrates his services to film industry. Singing

Before the creation of Pakistan, he tried to remain an Indian singer. He could not become successful in this field so he became an actor. He remained popular as a villain. also got famous reputation as a hero. His dialogues were popular in Pakistani films of his time. He debuted in the Pakistani cinema in which was a Punjabi film of 1949.

Before Partition

1940s and Bollywood

He started his film career in the 1940s by having the role in the Bollywood film named Najok. Afterwards, he also starred Namaste and Dhilip Kumar's famous film Mela . He became to known for his role in Mela in which he had not the lead role.

Migration to Pakitan

After Mela, he migrated to Pakistan and started his career in the Punjabi and Urdu. He was only hero of the time as Waheed Murad and Muhammad Ali had not came to the film industry.

Rose to prominence in 50s and 60s, 70s

Punjabi films

His one of the successful film was Pheray in the 1949. He was given the role of villain. It is considered the first one of the first superhit films in Pakistan. In 1953, Shari Baboo, he had the role of father who stops his daughter from the romances. In 1955, he starred in the film Pattan in 1955 had also the negative role of "Ustad Roh Kach" which do humorous poetry. In Pattay Khan{1955}, his negative role was repeated. In Dulla Bhatti, he starred in the lead role which was a romantic tragedy film based on folk tale. It is considered as the first blockbuster film of Pakistan which lead the making of latest film studio in Pakistan. His one of the hit films was Kartar Singh in 1959 in which was Sikh named Kartar Singh which does violence but in the end vows to become peaceful. His this antagonist role is most remembered. Sudhir, another iconic actor of Pakistani cinema was hero, an Indian actor were also it. This is one of most successful Punjabi films in Pakistan. It was based on the Partition of India about the Hindu, Muslim and Sikh living in it and how they separated. It is said that this film was seen in India also. He starred in the 1963 film Tees Maar Khan, as the alone hero for the first time. Aftewards, he was as a hero for 60s and 70 until other like Nadeem, Waheed Murad, Muhammad Ali were seen.

Urdu films

In the Heemda in 1956, he had the humorous role a which is uses drugs. A same type of role, he got in Tears of Mother in 1963.He was seen as a sole hero of a boy which is a wanderer and goon type. in the film Aas Pas in 1957. He was as sole hero in his time in many films like Neend, Aadmi, Koil, Johmar, Dosheza, Mahtab, Surresral, Najran, Angel. In 1960, he starred in film Salima in which was opposite to Ijaz, the both fight for one love. This film had most hit songs. He had starred as an Arab sardar in Shaheed in 1962, a malang in Firangi, a Palestinian Jihadist in Zarqa which was the film to film to have a Diamond Jubilee, Yeh Aman as a Kashmiri. In Badnaam in 1966, he remained as a hero. This film had lead role of his and rest of cast was not important. One of the most popular songs of Masood Rana was included in it. One of his superhit films was Dracula in Pakistan in 1967 which was had some critical reception.
