Aljustrel (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐɫʒuʃˈtɾɛɫ]) is a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 458.3 km² and a total population of 9,940 inhabitants.
During the Roman era, Aljustrel was known as Metallum Vispascense.
The municipality is composed of five parishes and is located in the district of Beja.
The present mayor is Nelson Domingos Brito, elected by the Socialist Party.
The municipal holiday is June 13.
Its French twin town is Hem, in the Nord département.
