Alikovsky District (Russian: А́ликовский райо́н; Chuvash: Элĕк районĕ, Elĕk rajonĕ) is a district (raion) of the Chuvash Republic, Russia. It is located in the central part of the republic and borders with Morgaushsky and Yadrinsky Districts in the north, Krasnoarmeysky District in the east, Vurnarsky and Shumerlinsky Districts in the south, and Krasnochetaysky District in the west. The area of the district is 554.12 square kilometers (213.95 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Alikovo. District's population: 18,284 (2010 Census preliminary results);[2] 21,745 (2002 Census);[3] 23,575 (1989 Census).[6] Population of Alikovo accounts for 13.4% of the district's population.[3]

As of the 2002 Census, 98% of the population was Chuvash.

The district was formed on October 1, 1927.

The CheboksaryYadrin and the Cheboksary–Krasnye Chetay autoroute cross the territory of the district.

In Alikovo are arranged branches of banks, polyclinic&hospital, orhthodox church, post, cultural center, sport's stadion&centre, restourant&cafes, autostation, many shopping, filling stations, offices of telecommunication companies. In Thursday is functioned market.

There are Central and Nikolaev's parks.

There are functioning museum, people's theatr, people's ensemblie, veteran's orchestra, school's brass band and chorus.

Here in May's days of every year is organized Reginal chuvash music festival "Vir'yal shevlisem" (Vir'yal's pancakes).
