Early life and career

Zaidi attended Niles West High School in Skokie, Illinois. He and a few friends created Pakmanzil.com, a Pakistani music website. Pakmanzil.com is home to the first-ever 24/7 Pakistani online music channel,[1] a Pakistani charity foundation, online girls magazine, and an event management company to handle concerts and events. Pakmanzil.com has and continues to promote Pakistani as well as Indian artists including Atif Aslam and Sonu Nigam.

The Daily Herald writes Ali saying, "There are many misconceptions about his home country. Pakistani's listen to western style music, they wear jeans & t-shirts and they love Hollywood films. By promoting similarities between Pakistan and other countries—and trying to understand and acknowledge the cause of deeper tensions—there's hope for peace and collaboration, Ali believes."[2]

Zaidi is a radio disc jockey & he hosted his show FM 121 on DesiChill Radio before moving to PMC Radio. Furthermore Zaidi has also founded a new Pakistani Magazine named "Pink" which is only available online and has been launched earlier in November 2009.
