Public Service, Activism, and Leadership

Alsadig Omer Khalafalla (Arabic د. الصادق عمر خلف لله)is a leading figure in the Muslim and Arab communities in the United States of America and Canada. He has a strong record of services in areas such as immigrants' education and integration, interfaith dialogues, and public policies that affect immigrants. Currently, he is the President of Bahrain American Council, (http://www.bactoday.org/).

On September 27, of 2008, Khalafalla was appointed as an Ambassador for Peace for his dedication to the African and Middle Eastern Peace Initiatives; the appointment was made by the Universal Peace Federation (http://www.upf.org/), which is one of the largest Peace organizations in the world.

Education

Khalafalla graduated with a Bachelor of Science from University of Louisina, Master of Business Administration from University of Maryland System, Frostburg State University Campus. He is a PhD. candidate (Public Policy) at Virginia Commonwealth University. Khalafalla is very involved in issues which are related to peace, interfaith dialogue, public policy, the Middle East, and Africa.

Personal and Family

Al Khalafalla (born Alsadig Omer Khalafalla)( Arabic: د. الصادق عمر خلف لله) is a Canadian citizen of Sudanese/Arab African origin.

He is a son of Mr. Justice Omer Khalafalla, Bahrain's Superior Court Judge (1975–Present). Al Khalafalla is a nephew of the late Air Chief General Awad Khalafalla, the former Supreme Commander of Military of Sudan and the former Defence Minister of Sudan (1974).
