Akwanga is a Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Akwanga.
It has an area of 996 km² and a population of 113,430 at the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 960.[1]
It is the town of the only college of education in Nasarawa state.
