History

Airparks was founded in October 1991. Airparks first acquired a secured car park near Birmingham Airport, and renamed it Airparks. In December 2007 plans were made to re-brand Q-Park sites to Airparks at Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow.[1] In 2006 Airparks opened its first German car park in Frankfurt [2] under the brand ABC Holiday Plus. There are now seven Airparks sites in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart, Bremen, Frankfurt-Hahn and Hanover.

Security

The car parks owned by Airparks have been awarded with the Park Mark award for safer parking, a national security award.[3]

Other security features (reference: Gatwick Airparks) include:

   * Entry barrier to the car park
   * Car park areas are monitored by closed circuit security cameras
   * Security fencing
   * Security lighting
   * Car park is regularly patrolled by staff.
   * Holders of Park Mark Award

Important Information

If you are travelling to and from the North Terminal: Airparks has been asked, on short notice, to temporarily relocate their pick-up and drop-off point due to alterations to the North Terminal layout. The bus stop is now approximately 300 metres walking distance from the North Terminal. When you are dropped off, please follow the signs towards 'Jubilee House', then turn right at 'Jubilee House' and you will see the entrance to the North Terminal. Trolleys are available to help transport your luggage.
