Ainea is a genus of perennial, herbaceous and bulbous plants belonging to the iris family (Iridaceae), endemic from Oaxaca in Mexico. They have white flowers with free stamens and a bifid style. The genus include only one species, Ainea conzattii, which grows in coniferous forest up to 2000 m.a.s.l. Currently, this genus is considered a synonym of Tigridia.[1]
