AeroLogic
AeroLogic GmbH, a joint-venture between DHL Aviation and Lufthansa Cargo, is a German cargo airline headquartered in Schkeuditz, Saxony. It operates cargo flights out of Leipzig/Halle Airport and Frankfurt, most of which are on behalf of its parent companies.
History
The company was founded by Lufthansa and Deutsche Post on 12 September 2007 as Blitz 07-343 GmbH.[1] On 9 January 2008 the name was changed to AeroLogic.[2] On 13 May 2009, the first Boeing 777F was delivered to AeroLogic, making it the first German airline operating this aircraft type.[3] It is the first Boeing 777 to be registered in Germany. On 26 May of the same year, the airline received an airline certificate for commercial transport of mail and cargo, resulting in the launch of flight operations on 19 June.[4]
