Adelaide Clemens is an Australian actress. She was nominated for a Logie Award in 2008 for her role in the television series Love My Way. Clemens has appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and will portray Heather Mason in the upcoming horror film Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

Career

Clemens began working as an actress in Australian television. She guest starred in a 2006 episode of Blue Water High as Juliet, and starred in the children's series Pirate Islands: The Lost Treasure of Fiji in 2007 as Alison. That year, Clemens played Harper in the Showtime drama Love My Way. She was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding New Talent at the 2008 Logie Awards for her role.[1]

Clemens was seen in the 2008 MTV Networks Australia drama film, Dream Life, alongside Sigrid Thornton, Xavier Samuel, Linda Cropper and Andrew McFarlane.[2] In 2009, she had small roles in the series All Saints and the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman. She became the face of Jan Logan's jewellery that year.[3]

Clemens starred as Xandrie in the 2010 film, Wasted on the Young, written and directed by Ben C. Lucas. The film tells the story of a high school love triangle between Xandrie, Zack (Alex Russell), and Darren (Oliver Ackland), that leads to a party ending in gun violence.[4] She also starred in the film Generation Um, alongside Keanu Reeves and Bojana Novakovic.[5]

Clemens will star in Certainty, directed by Peter Askin, based on the play Searching for Certainty by Mike O'Malley.[6] She was in negotiations to join the cast of Fury Road in January 2010, a sequel to the Mad Max film series by George Miller.[7] She will also star in Vampire, with Kevin Zegers, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Kristin Kreuk, Rachael Leigh Cook, Amanda Plummer and Yū Aoi. The film is the English-language feature debut of the noted Japanese director Shunji Iwai.[8]

Clemens will star in the drama Camilla Dickinson, with Gregg Sulkin, Cary Elwes and Samantha Mathis. The film is an adaptation of the 1951 novel by young-adult fiction author Madeleine L'Engle.[9] She will portray teenage girl Heather Mason in the upcoming horror film Silent Hill: Revelation 3D which is based on the survival horror video game Silent Hill 3 and is a sequel to the horror film Silent Hill.[10] Clemens has also been cast in a lead role in Parade's End, a television miniseries co-produced by HBO and BBC Two. She plays a young suffragette, Valentine Wannop.[11]
