Addington Venables

The Rt Rev Addington Robert Peel Venables, DD was an Anglican Colonial Bishop [1] in the 19th century.[2] Born in 1827, he was educated at Exeter College, Oxford [3] and consecrated in 1863.[4] He died in post in 1876.[5]
His son Major John Charles Venables of the Gloucestershire Regiment served with distinction in the Boer War and was mentioned in despatches, won the Queen's Medal with two clasps and the DSO.[6]
