Adamantas

For the Gnostic mythological figure Adamas, see Gnosticism. In the Iliad Adamas is a grandson of Hyrtacus.

Adamantas (Greek: Αδάμαντας, older form Αδάμας, from the Greek αδάμας= "diamond") is the harbor town of Milos island. It has a population of 1,700 people.

Highlights:

• The 600-year-old church of the Holy Trinity.
• The Milos Mining Museum.
• The Maritime Museum.

Adamantas is the cultural and commercial center of the island.
