Association of Lowland Search And Rescue (ALSAR) is a voluntary organisation in the UK which assists the emergency services in the search for missing persons. It is part of the UKSAR operators group appointed by the Department for Transport.[1]
ALSAR consists of 15 affiliated search teams and around 500 trained Search Technicians.[2] The group trains members using a common curriculum with regional variations.
