Akola Airport, also known as Shivani Airport (IATA: AKD, ICAO: VAAK) is an airport located in Akola in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is one of the 18 Airports in Maharashtra.

The Akola airport was developed in 2008 at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore. The new swanky terminal building , renovated at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore, has a new fire station, air traffic control block and other vital installations.[1] The 4,000 feet runway was extended 4600 feet and a new PAPI and NDB navigation system added. The 90 metre by 100 metre apron can accommodate two F-27 or equivalent aircraft.[2]
