AJC Oaks

The AJC Oaks (now known as the AJC Australian Oaks) is a Group 1 Australian Thoroughbred horserace for three-year-old fillies at set weights contested over 2,400 metres at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney in April. The AJC Australian Oaks is the premier staying race for three-year-old fillies during the Sydney autumn racing carnival. Total prizemoney was increased in 2011 to A$550,000. Up to 1894 this race was known as the AJC Oaks, from 1960 to 1962 it was known as the Adrian Knox Oaks Stakes and since 1994 this race has been known as the AJC Australian Oaks.[1]
