ACP Pradyuman is the major character of the detective series C.I.D. that airs in the Sony Entertainment Television. The character has been in the series since it was first aired in 1998, and has since been one of the most popular characters of Indian television. He is known for his courage, strength, friendliness, and good heart. He is portrayed by Shivaji Satam in the serial.

The ACP is presented with courage, strength, friendliness, and good heart. He loves all the officers of the CID department like his own children. Especially Daya and Abhijeet are very dear to him. However, he is partial to none. Shockingly, in an episode of 2005, he didn't hesitate to shoot his own criminal son, Nakul. When he gets angry, his temper can be controlled by none. He behaves nicely with all the people, but when it comes to law, he doesn't hesitate to inform directly to a criminal that he is going to be hung.[1] However, alongside a strict character, some humor is also found in this popular character. He has friendly arguments with almost all the forensic experts of the department. Dr Salunkhe always has arguments with the ACP. However, in reality, the ACP truly likes all his fellow officers. He is kind-hearted and gentle, but sometimes Daya, Abhijeet and Fredricks joke about his bad temper when he is not present. The ACP is really a nice and popular character.
