7th Street/Metro Center Station (informally: Seventh and Metro) is a subway station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system located in the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles at the intersection of Seventh Street and Flower Street.[1] The station's full (official) name is 7th Street/Metro Center/Julian Dixon in memory of Julian Dixon.[2]
This station is served by the light rail Blue Line, heavy rail Red Line, and Purple Line and also by the Silver Line (bus rapid transit). The Expo Line is scheduled to open in November 2011.[3] The Blue Line and Expo Line currently have their downtown terminus at this station. Many bus routes also serve the station.

The station consists of two underground levels (one light rail and one heavy rail).

Current developments
Expo line
Expo Line service to this station is anticipated to begin in January 2012.
Station enhancements
Metro is planning $2 million worth of enhancements to 7th/Metro station as part of the Expo Line project. This includes a new dispatch booth and improved signage in the station.[7]
Proposed developments
Regional connector
The proposed Regional Connector would result in the Blue Line and Expo Lines) continuing north from this station through Downtown Los Angeles (via the Financial District and the Bunker Hill area) to connect with the Little Tokyo Station on the Gold Line.
