Tumor suppressor p53-binding protein 1 also known as p53-binding protein 1 or 53BP1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TP53BP1 gene.[1][2][3]

Contents

Clinical significance

53BP1 is underexpressed in most cases of triple-negative breast cancer.[4]

Interactions

TP53BP1 has been shown to interact with Replication protein A1,[5] RPA2,[5] E2F1,[6] Ataxia telangiectasia mutated,[7][8] P53,[9][10][11][12][13][14][1] PAXIP1,[15][16] DYNLL1,[12] H2AFX[10][7][8] and Bloom syndrome protein.[10]
