It is licensed as a public broadcaster for the Shoalhaven local government area, stretching from Gerroa in the north to Burrill Lake in the south. Programming on Shoalhaven FM is very diverse, ranging from softer music such as country and western/adult standards in the daytime to more upbeat sounds (top 40/rock and metal) at night. The station also networks programs from the CBAA satellite (such as Pet Talk Radio), as well as Shoalhaven council meetings.[3]
