2012 Pekan Olahraga Nasional is a major multi-sport event in Indonesia which will be held in Pekanbaru, Riau in 2012.

Sail is the official logo of this edition of Pekan Olahraga Nasional. The colors of the sail, which are red, yellow, and green, symbolize official color of Riau. The depiction of river underneath the sail represent the terrain of Riau province. The organizing committee of the 2012 Pekan Olahraga Nasional chose a blue-crowned hanging parrot as the mascot of the games. The Burung Serindit which is the Riau province bird is depicted wearing Riau Malay costume and carrying the torch of Pekan Olahraga Nasional.[1]
Athletes from 33 provincial sports committee are expected to participate.
The 2012 Summer Olympic programme features 32 sports and a total of 44 disciplines.[2]
