The 2008-09 Speed Skating World Cup/1000 m Women will start in the first weekend of November at the Berlin World Cup event and conclude at the 2008-09 Speed Skating World Cup/World Cup Final in Salt Lake City in March[1]. Defending titlist is Canadian Kristina Groves who won the 2007-08 edition.
