The 2008–09 First Macedonian Football League is the seventeenth season since its establishment. It began on August 3, 2008 and will end on May 31, 2009. FK Rabotnički are the defending champions, having won their third title the previous year. FK Baškimi withdrew from the championship due to financial reasons.[1]
