The 1993 United States Open Championship was the 93rd U.S. Open. The event was held from June 17–20 at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield Township, Union County, New Jersey. Lee Janzen won his first major championship by two strokes over Payne Stewart.

In the process, Janzen became only the second golfer ever to record four sub-70 rounds in a U.S. Open, after Lee Trevino in 1968. (Rory McIlroy would become the third in 2011.)[1]
