17737 Sigmundjähn is a main belt asteroid with an orbital period of 1385.3202995 days (3.79 years).[1] It was discovered 1998 by J. Kandler at a small observatory in Drebach in Saxony, Germany and was named after Sigmund Jähn, the first German in space, who originated from that area.
The asteroid was discovered on January 27, 1998.
